ALL ANIMALS MUST BE IN GOOD HEALTH. HEALTH CERTIFICATION FORMS FOR INTERSTATE TRAVEL ARE REQUIRED IN MONTANA. ELISA TESTS ARE REQUIRED FOR RAMS ENTERING MONTANA.
Registrations/Health Certification must be available prior to unloading.
The Barn Superivisor will check all animals before unloading. The Barn Supervisor reserves the right to refuse any animal admittance without refund.
All sheep & goats must have identification that complies with the National Scrapie Eradication Program. Please call 866-USDA-TAG (866-873-2824) for help.
All ownership changes must have been completed at least 30 days before the show date. Substitutions of animals entered may be made only within the same class & be confirmed at the time the animal’s arrival at the fairgrounds. The decision of the chairperson is final.
Exhibitors are allowed to show up to 2 animals in each class.
Fleece length of young animals should be appropriate for their age. There should be sufficient length to judge the fleeces character. Some breeds, due to Rooing will have shorter fleeces. This will not be held against them.
Signs or banners are permitted & encouraged in the pen area, but must be mounted appropriately and not interfere with other exhibitors.
We will try to separate flocks/herds by the space of an empty stall, but we encourage anyone who is concerned about the health of their animals to bring a solid barrier.
Animals may be checked in Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 7am-9:00am. The shows will begin promptly at 10am. Early check in is encouraged, for your animal’s & show personnel’s sake.
Livestock should enter fairgrounds on the North end of the fairgrounds off Old Corvallis Road. Please move all vehicles to the North Parking Lot as soon as possible after unloading.
NOTIFY US IF UNABLE TO ATTEND: We would appreciate being notified if, due to unforeseen circumstances, you are unable to attend. Please call & leave a message for Rexanna (406) 961-4685 or Robyn cell 406-529-6194 .
All decisions of the judge and/or BSFAF staff are final.
NO DOGS are allowed on the Fairgrounds, per Fairgrounds rules. The only exception being assist dogs.
All livestock must be housed in pens. Fairgrounds management doesn’t allow animals to be housed in trailers.
Exhibitors are asked to remove bedding material prior to leaving. Shavings will be available on the fairgrounds. Straw is NOT allowed, per County Fire Marshall.
The show committee reserves the right to refuse any animal admittance without refund.
If you are unable to attend, refund of 90% of entry fees until May 30th. No refunds after June 1st, unless the show is canceled.
