Locker Hooking Rug

Come and learn a wonderful, handsome way to use those many pounds of roving that are keeping your closet warm. This technique of rug hooking is done on canvas with either yarn, fabric or wool roving. Heidi will teach how to make a rug with roving using a hook that draws each loop through the canvas and locks it. You will see how to embellish your rug with needle felting. All materials are included.
Heidi Medland is the owner of Back to Basics yarn shop in Polson MT. She has been teaching locker hooking for 3 years and enjoys making her own patterns and rugs to sell. See samples of her rugs in the Showcase section of the festival.
